Common Questions and Solutions
Personal Chef On Line Testing
- I marked the test as finished before actually being finished.
- If you answered the majority of questions on the test, you may want to let it proceed through the grading phase. If you had not completed the majority of questions, you should call the Culinary Business Academy and request the test be reset. No portion of what you already completed can be salvaged. There are multiple versions of each test, and you will likely receive a different version next time around. Resetting a test may result in a $25 fee being assessed.
- I lost my internet connection during the test.
- Completely close the Internet program and any associated test pages. Restart your Internet connection, log back into the site and open the test you were involved with. The 1 hour time limit will still be ticking, so do not delay or wait to re-establish this connection, otherwise you will run out of time and the test will automatically be submitted.
- I flagged a question while taking a test, but am unable to return to the flagged question for review.
- Log off Internet, restart Internet, and log back onto test site. Reopen or rejoin test in progress. Test is timed, so do not delay this restart process.
- I started taking the wrong test.
- If you open the incorrect test by mistake, you can close the window as long as you have not clicked the "start test" button. If you open the wrong test and select the “start test” button, you should plan to take the test at that moment.
- I reopened the test site following a disruption of Internet service, and click the "resume testing" button, but the test window does not appear.
- Minimize all windows that are open. Chances are the page you desire was never closed properly, and is available for you behind other open windows.
- The testing window does not appear, or closes immediately after opening.
- Usually as result of security system or pop-up blocking software. Close or disable the offending software, close and reopen the web browser and log back into the test site.
- I cannot log in or access the test site.
- Security software prevents cookies from being set, or password/user name is incorrect. You may have already entered incorrect information and asked the web browser to save the information so going forward you can never re-enter the log in information. This requires, in Microsoft Internet Explorer, going to Tools => Internet Options => Security Tab => Custom Level Button =>Scroll to bottom to User Authentication => Radio button for Prompt for User Name and Password. This will then let you re-enter your log in information.
